The paywall, precisely: The first saving action in Stage 2 is the wall: without an active plan the API answers "402 — subscription required" with a link to this page. You can look at every stage; past Stage 1, writing requires a plan. Nothing you did is lost — your Stage 1 work is kept.
Seat caps, precisely: Assigning a person beyond the cap of your plan is refused with a clear "409 — seat cap" message naming the cap. Nothing silently truncates, and nobody is silently dropped.
Seats are counted live: A seat is whoever actually holds a role — creator, business liaison, control owner, ISMS manager. Clear an owner and the seat frees immediately; there is no seat-release ticket to raise.
Cancel any time: Cancelling stops future charges. Your records — SoA, risk register, documents, minutes — remain yours to export.
